ChemiNova Open Event
Get to know ChemiNova and contribute to the protection of Europe’s cultural heritage!
The ChemiNova Open Event aims to engage the public in a special afternoon to showcase how innovative science and culture can work together to protect Europe’s cultural heritage from the impacts of climate change and civil conflicts. The event is designed to introduce the ChemiNova project’s goals and tools through interactive, hands-on activities.

Discovery and Engagement: Introduce attendees to the ChemiNova project and its contribution to heritage protection.Tool Exploration: Provide a dynamic opportunity to try out interactive tools developed by the ChemiNova team.Experiential Learning: Engage attendees in hands-on activities like solving riddles and uncovering heritage secrets to illustrate the application of science in conservation. Event Details and Structure
The ChemiNova Open Event is a special afternoon full of discovery, hands-on activities, and fun!
When: Friday, 28 November 2025, 16:00 – 19:00
Where: La Nau, Universitat de València
Format: The event will consist of various interactive stations and activities that will run in rotating shifts. Each group will enjoy around 1.5 hours of interactive experiences.
Language: All activities will be held in English.
Expected Outcomes
Increased public awareness of the impacts of climate change and civil conflicts on European cultural heritage.
Attendees will gain a practical understanding of how digital tools can be used to monitor and protect cultural treasures.
