25 September 2026 | Viveros Gardens, Valencia
ChemiNova and the University of Valencia will take part in the European Researchers’ Night in Valencia on 25 September, bringing science and cultural heritage research closer to the public through two interactive activities.
Visitors will be able to explore how scientific and digital techniques can contribute to the study, documentation and preservation of cultural heritage.
Create your own cyanotype
Participants will have the opportunity to make their own cyanotype, an early photographic printing technique that produces distinctive blue images. Using leaves, printed transparencies or their own drawings, visitors can create a unique cyanotype to take home.
Explore the materials of cultural heritage
At the ChemiNova stand, visitors will also be able to discover how researchers examine artworks and heritage materials using digital microscopy and imaging techniques such as ultraviolet light.
Through live demonstrations, participants will see how these tools can reveal details that are not always visible to the naked eye and help researchers better understand cultural heritage materials.
